New scope, sighting-in help needed

Anyone kow of a way to bore-sight a Remington 760 pump action rifle? Obviously there is no bolt to remove so I can't look down the barrel and rough-sight it in. I don't feel like spending the cash on a laser. What other options are there for this?

Start at 25 yards with a fairly large target. Once it's close to center, move to 50 yards then 100.

Most gun shops have a boresighter and don't charge an arm and a leg to do it--and if you ask around, you might find a green screen brother with one that would mail it to you for a week.

But, if not, just put up a target the size of a two newspaper pages at 25 yards and put your aiming point right in the middle and have at it. Should be on the spot in 5 shots max. Then move to longer ranges.

I never bore sight a rifle prior to shooting it. I just shoot at 25 yards, adjust and then move to 100. Probably about 95% of the time they will hit a standard "sight in" target at 25 yards on the first shot it you have mounted the scope right and have centered the scope's adjustments. Adjust to hit the center, you can usually do that in 3 shots or less. Once centered at 25 move to 100 and the majority of the time you will again be on the paper on a standard sight in target.
