Technically its equipment, but if its the wrong spot, I guess one of the admins will move it.
So, my fatherin law recently aquired a 2003 Kawasaki Mule 4wd from one of his workers. The mule had been in a low speed rollover (on the side) and has a busted steering rack, some missing and busted plastic, possibly a busted radiator, and it looks to have been rode hard and put up wet. The thing has been painted with god knows what kind of paint and its dripped and ran all over the place. There is even paint on the tires. It definately does not look like much, but he only paid $100 for it.
So, my job is to get it working mechanically and I can use it all fall and winter for hunting, and he will use it all spring and summer for his peach orchard and around the farm. Best part is, hes buying all the parts. Works out great for me.
But, I have a slight problem. I dont know how to disassemble the thing to get to the steering rack. The previous owner didnt either, and being the extreme idiot that he was, he just started cutting and bending the floor plate. I dont want to be like that so if anyone has any experience with the Mules, your input on the best way to get to the steering will help greatly. Also, if anyone has a good source of cheap quality parts, let me know.
Thanks in advance.
