    Flex Corn

Well with the price of corn in my area at 10.50 per 50 lb sack, I will give the Flex Corn a try, I got a couple of bags at Academy today and will place them out in the morning, I hope they like it, its only 5.99 a bag and with our feeders holding 6 sacks each, we would save over 25 dlls per feeder if the deer like it.

They come in 30 lb bags, but have the volume of 40 lbs, it has more fat and protein than corn since it has molases in it, hope it works, I'll post results.

We will see with time, My brother in law owns a feed store and is also a vet, and it was him who sugested that we try it out, he knows that the price of corn will not go down any time soon, and we dont have to worry about humidity, we have only had 3 inches of rain in 14 months. volume wise it outperforms corn, and deer will eat less doe to the molasses, we have 20 free choice feeders in the place and 3 aditional ones that the State fills with corn. with an average savings by volume of 16 dlls per feeder we would be saving 320 dlls per round. We are hopeing for the best but ready for the worst.

ummm...lets just say, if you had the choice between a leftover sandwich or a fresh sandwich at the same price, which would you choose....tried some last year and the hogs wouldn't even eat it for weeks

I wish you the best of luck with it.

Just for grins, if the deer don't like it or if it does rain, you get the joy of cleaning out 20 feeders that are gummed up with the stuff and if you didn't fill them to the top and only put 6 bags per feeder.........you lost $720 (20 feeders, 6 bags each, $6 per bag).

I truly hope it works out for you. If it does, you'll be the first that I've heard who had a good experience.

If it gets ANY moisture in it, your feeder is going to clog.

Hope it don't get wet. Stuff is nasty, concrete paste when wet and the dry. Worst than protein pellets. Free choice feeders might work, but not spinners.

Why not mix with the corn? Corn may save the rear if moisture does show up sometime. Help with the flow???? I dont know just a thought
