Any reviews of the TruGlo® Tru-Site Xtreme Bow Sight

Does anybody have a review of this sight. Chris Martin has been trying to get me to switch my sight on my Alpine bow to the Tru Glo that has the tritium pins in it. The Alpine bow will only accept certain sight brackets.

TruGlo® Tru-Site Xtreme Bow Sights are a lightweight composite pin guard that comes complete with extra-long, protected and wrapped fibers, 5 fiber-optic pins aligned on the same plane to eliminate distortion, a large round circular field of vision, and an aperture that has a 2'' inner diameter. The glow-in-the-dark shooter's ring helps align the peep sight. can be used for right or left handed bow.

    Have it on my bow.

Since this is my first bow and I only started last year I can only give som much feedback:

    Pros:

    1. Price is not that bad,
    2. Enough pins to set multiple distances.
    3. easy to set pins

    Cons:

    1. Batteries were out quick and need to go to a battery store to find them.
    2. Top pin is now out but I dont really use it.
    3. Lost inside contact so I had to buy a new $12 kit from Academy.

It is not a bad sight for the price IMO.

I will not have the battery on my sight. I will get the one that uses the tritium pins. Thanks for the review.

That's what I have but mine is the Micro-Adjust Tool-less model. Tritium pins are the way to go. I have been preaching that for years. When I started bowhunting I used a light. But once I tried a tritium pin the ol' lighted sight was history. Tritium is just better. Heath, it is a very good sight.

I have the same one Chance does. I love it. Will never use another sight. With the tritium pin, all you need is a silouhette to aim at. I really like it for hog hunting on a full moon.

Plus the tritiumm pin is great for low light conditions.

I just purchased my first bow and have this sight on mine with the light. In low light without the light the pins show up real good. The light adds a little extra. Forgot to mention I have the 3 pin model, the 4 and 5 pin models seemed a little crowded to me.
