My wife and I have been twice in the past 3 years. We haven't had any luck but Mr. Chambers is a really nice guy. He has lots of animals to choose from. Even though we didn't kill anything I would still go back. Which ranch are you hunting? What I noticed is if he want to kill a good axis you better be ready for a shot over 25 yards cuz these guys are constantly looking up for hunters. Good luck

Not reallly sure which this is my first trip up there. I guess the one is Sabinal. The exotic package for $500 with two hogs. He seems like a really nioce guy ova the phone.

      Thanks for the Tips,

I've been twice and the last time I went I shot an axis doe. Really great place but like jw said be ready when they come out because they are very skittish. I'm trying to plan another trip out there soon also.

The lodge is nice, plenty of bunks, dish tv.. it's not a resort - but its nice. Maurice is hands down one of the best guys you will ever meet. I've hunted there before and will hunt there again. You will enjoy the place, lots of different hunting set ups to choose from and Maurice (or his grandson) will work their tail off getting you the best chance at a shot.

Couple of guys from my lease go every year (we may join them this year) but last year one got a good Axis and the other shot a Red Stag. They speak very highly of both the ranch and Maurice. Good luck.

I like the ranch alot, and Maurice even more!

be the last one out of the truck and you will learn alot from him (and get the best spots)

Never failed on a trip there.
Axis are tough to get close but hopefully one will mess up for ya.

Ask him about trotlining catfish. You'll be in.
