    Help picking a grain....

I plan on trying the cutting edge products from the whitetail institute, and it's recommend to be mixed with a grain of some sort.

My question is what would be a good/inexpensive grain to use in a homemade PVC gravity feeder?

        Did mention inexpensive?

$8.50 for 40lbs is already gonna hurt enough for the regular feeders.

Cotton seed is cheaper... Or at least I think it is. Fact of the matter is, anything fed out of a gravity feeder gets expensive, because they have all day every day access to it... That being said, that's how I feed my protein and they love it!

I was thinking about cotton seed or some type of wheat also.

We use cotton seed and it works great usually u can find it at a cotton gin the owners usually just let you take it however much you want but thats some gins, we have used the same one sence i wasin high school and feed it to my show cows.. But cotten seed is great for protein and you with see a differance in the hide as well...
