I have him at 118-120 when the velvet comes off. Great bow deer for sure....

That is where I came in giving him the benefit of the doubt. I think today he would be 115" or so without the velvet. He's a nice looking deer but he's gonna have to grow a fair amount in the next few weeks to get to P&Y. Cool deer though.

This is the third year that I have had him in my radar, so he is 5.5 at least, if not older. Hard to tell with the way the drought has been affecting them.

That's why I asked. Hard enough to accurately age a deer from a different part of the state (at least for me it can be). Add in the drought and how thin all of the deer are and I won't hazard a guess at age on this one.

Let the air out of him. He'll look good on the wall.

Great looking buck and I'd shoot him in a second, but I don't think he will make P&Y. Although he may gross close to P&Y and nets are for fishing anyway!

I'm not getting him there. I was thinking 120 at best but still a shooter deer. When the velvet comes off he's gonna shrink. No hesitation.......bust him!

I would let an arrow fly... I don't get caught up in what the deer scores. Its just a number. I'm more into having a successful hunt and bringing home those tasty back straps..
