Well it all kind of depends but probably yes and yes. You see they were made by different companys. They just had the buckmasters name on them. Bear made them for a while and they were like 42 in axle to axle. Vibrated so bad you almost had to wear batting gloves.

It would all depend on what year and who made it for the year. Any idea which one it is.

It may be from the Buck Master line of bows made by Jennings and then Bear / Jennings back before the parallel limb generation of bows came out . Not new technology, but probably a well made bow. Is it a single cam bow, or does it have wheels with steel cables?

It's probably a 1998-2000 era bow made by Jennings. I have a Rackmaster of that vintage and it has slayed many critter. Been thinking of rigging it back up and give it some treestand time. I bet that old Buckmaster would make a good bowfishing rig.

Yeah, it definitely sounds like a Bear-Jennings Buckmaster. Does it look anything like this:

                        or this:

If it does (single cam, short ATA) it may be realistically capable of pushing an arrow close to 275fps.
