          I take those arrows like that and cut them down and use them on my kids bows. Their bows are shooting alot less poundage and i cut the arrow down for their length. Never had a problem.

              Why would you ever take a bad arrow and "make" it safe for kids???
              Buy them good arrows and stop being such a cheapskate...

              Hold it in both hands and use your thumbs as "levers" to snap the arrow in two. And don't believe Keep if he says it hurts like 2 broken thumbs...
