Frefridgerator gurus... question about storage.

My garage fridge bit the dust and I need to replace it.

I found a used one, but... gots a question for y'all.

The lady bought it new in 09, used it for a year and put it in storage for a year or so...

Is it bad for a fridge to sit for a while like that? I don't know if seals go bad or anything of that nature.

I've had them set that long and they were fine. Get her to plug it in for a day and then check it out.
