I didn't get drawn either, are the practice rounds worth going?

Well I just want to see the course up close. I bet it will be a great time if I get to go.

It is on my bucket list. I need to start applying for tickets to make it happen.

A buddy of mine got to go to a practice round several years ago. He said it was great and he took a ton of close up pictures of the pros. Said they didn't care about camera's at all. Big difference in that and tournament day.

I'm with you Kirby, I would just like to see the course. Guess I need to register. I missed you at the TBH Tourney. What happened, did you get tired of winning?

Well I had a wedding to go to in east Tx last weekend. Sure wish I could have made it this year. Practice rounds might even be better because less crowd, players might have a little more personality, and I watching the tourny on the tube is better because you don't miss any action.
My buddy has been a couple times and said practice is worth the money

Absolutely! Tuesday is the best day in my opinion. Everyone always wants to go Wednesday for the par 3 tourney but its a beating. About 30000 people (you don't really know because they don't annouce attendance) pack into one corner of the property.

You can put in every year for practice rounds. If you just want to go, you can buy them on the street out in front of the tournament (Washington Rd) for a couple hundred a day (maybe 300 -350 for Wed). Hotels/rooms are harder to come by than practice round tickets. Aiken or Columbia SC are good back up places to stay.

I didn't put in for the drawing, but the golf coach at Sam Houston gave me a shirt from the Masters. I was proud and hugged him.

I entertained customers there two years in a row 2007-2008, Mon - Sun. I had to arrange all of the catering, rented the house, restaurant reservations, and most important and costly.....tickets! Give me a call if anyone needs any info.

I have a good local broker if anyone needs tickets. Expect the average tournament badge to be around $1000/day.

I'll have to wait till I get drawn before I go. $50 bucks a day sounds more my style than $1000 a day

Went in '05, awesome experience. My tickets were hand-me-downs from the FiL. He wasn't gonna travel last-minute to Augusta we didn't mind.
