Went out to this property that I hunt on sunday morning and the place sounded like a zoo.Hogs, turkey, yotes all havin a good ole time.My question is,how do I get a hog?Do I go in the thick stuff after them and try and set something up or do I try and draw them out to the more open areas like maybe around the edge of the woods. What would I use as an attractant to lure them? Thanks alot!

Hunt the edges near heavy timber and keep an area corned up (hand corn) away from your deer feeder. In that area you can dump a 50lb sack, pour corn syrup over the pile and watch what happens. Do this a few times and they will check regularly. Dedicating a spot away from your primary deer stand will at least spread them out away from your primary feeder. They will go there as well but at least you can target them somewhere else saving the whitetail from the pressure of thinning hogs. Good luck!

Don't do a lot of trompin' around during deer season, but after season closes (or everyone has thier deer) go out a few hours from sunset and take a SLOW stroll with your bow.
Walk with your nose in the wind and your ears turned up to 11.
If hogs are in a group they will often jack with each other, making noise. They also make contented grunts as they root around.
You can smell them, too. Many a time I found hogs with my nose alone.
Slipping into bow range on hogs is loads of fun.

That's what I am talking about Brutt Killer!!! That is so much fun sniff and stalk!!! One thing you don't want to do is put a feeder up that will just turn them nocturnal or keep them away just my .02... Hand feed is the way to go feed for about a week with no hunting... After that make sure the wind is right and hunt the crap out of them!!!!

A few things to also take into consideration, Look for water, wallows will always be there,,fence rows with hair in the strands of bobs,. As always go into the wind very slowly and cautiously. You may walk right by hogs without them moving,,they will bury themselves in leaves,,hay and it will or can look like a birds nest..I would stay out of these areas and hunt wallows,,if you find wallows the hogs wont be far and will come even in the heat to wallow as hogs dont sweat, watch your scent and there are a few other tips and stratigies that can be learned..
