    Kenco Smart Timer II?

I was given a couple of feeders and put them in the storage for back ups. Well, I needed one last week and saw the replacement was a Kenco Smart Timer II. Has anyone else had any experience with these and which feeding program did you use? Any issues with them?

My Kenco's used to last 2-3 years tops.

gut off the circuit board and go by a moultree digital board that comes in the little folding black case. Cut the lid off the case and hook up the digital timer to the kenco feeder motor and you have a bullet proof feeder motor housing with a half way decend dependable digital timer. Any timer will work if it is small enough to fit in the housing. Check with ultrakarl and see if he has something for you- he is great.

The housings on those Kencos are ok but I hated the photocell eye part so I trashed it. I have used this feeder for over 10 yrs and it is going strong in Mason right now.

I agree w/Howard...did the same but ended up using a BA Systems Timer. The only issue id that there is not a good way to hook up a solar panel. This is the only feeder I have that doesn't have a solar panel.

My Smart Timer II has been in use since 1994 and is still throwing corn
everyday in Mason! It goes off twice a day in perfect unison
            with my digital feeder!

                Great Timers.... imho...

I have 3 of them. 2 of them I bought about 5 or 6 years ago. The third one I have was being thrown away by my neighbor. Barrel, motor, legs, and all because someone had shot holes in the barrel. I know it was at least 5 years old then and I've been using it for nearly that long now so it's gotta be around 10 years old, I'd think. All I did was put a battery in it. All 3 of my Kenco's go off 2wice a day, EVERY DAY.

If you decide not to use the Kenco's, give me a shout. I'll take 'em off your hands!!

Here is a pic I got last week @ the "trashed" Kenco..............
                Good luck w/it..........
