I'm in the market for a lab I am intrested in a chocolate but open to a yellow or black. It must have a square boxy head and frame, with avery good hunting pedigree. Anyone know any one to recomend? Thanks in advance for your feedback.

Just a tip if you are looking for a hunting dog...Im not saying this goes for all chocolates, but it has been proven that chocolates are on the bottom under black and yellow as far as trainability and stubborness. There are good chocolates out there, but they are few and far between as compared to yellows and blacks. Just something to think about.

I would look online, if you dont mind spending a little money, I would search for a pup that has Hawkeyes Viking or Ebonstar Lean Mac somewhere in the 2nd generation. Viking is a pup of Mac's. Viking holds 92 derby points and has the all time high point for yellow labs, also AFC and several runner ups. Mac is a 2X NAFC, 2X CNAFC, FC, and CFC.
I would highly suggest looking for something out of that bloodline. One of the very best. My dog Hawkeyes Gun Smoke Mac is Viking's grandson, and I couldnt ask for a more trainable dog that has the drive he does.

Ace44. Go to retrievertraining.net and look at the classifieds. Several good and a couple Real good breedings on there. After you find one you like call me. Go black!!
I also know of a couple of folks in your area that run field trial labs. If your having troubles I can ask them if they know any good local breedings. Good Luck
