Killed one during a downpour in February. Also, killed a few right after the rain stopped. Doesn't hurt to sit through it.

Alway heard that they bed down in the rain. But a slow drizzle or right after it stops are good

I agree with that its best to be there while its raining as soon as it starts to let up or stops there could be immediate action. Especially if its been raining for a few hours and your there just as it lets up or stops.
