So when can you purchase the new license on line? Is it Sep 1st? or can you order them earlier.

Good point,, I was living in Okieland at the time so It was a no go for me I dont have to wait in lines in Okieville anymore though

I wish I had been smarter and bought a lifetime combo when they first started selling them, I think they were around $400 or less

you know they have a lifetime license lottery I think it is every 6 months...$5 a pop...

Buying your license online is much easier than standing in line. If you know exactly what you want you don't have to worry about getting the wrong stamps/tags.

Out of tradition (superstition) I try to buy my license on Aug 15th @ TPWD office.
Or wally world on the 16th...

I hate to say it but most of the people selling these licenses at Academy and Wally World have no idea what they're doing. I've had licenses printed out with no valid tags, missing endorsements that I've paid for, no HIP certification, etc. I would NOT take someone's word for it that you can buy next year's license right now.
