Hey fireman, I know a repair guy that lives in Parker and he may be able to help. If you want his number, I'll get it and pm you. Just let me know.

When you get it home swap, out the parts and get yours working and then return the new one with the broken part installed. It may not be the right way to handle it but the way you are being treated isn't right either and your problem will be solved.
      Awesome

Did you know that those nice stainless steel refrigerators you've recently bought now only carry a 1 year warranty on the compressor? I found out the hard way.

Up until 2006 they carried a 5 year warranty on the compressor, then Whirlpool decided to drop it to 1 year, and the other manufacturers followed suit.

So, my nice Whirlpool SS refrigerator lasted 2 1/2 years until - you guessed it - the compressor crapped out. Not something I can fix myself. Called a repairman, says its better to buy a new one.

I've been talking to and e-mailing Whirlpool and they've basically told me to pound sand. They will do nothing.

They have to know they are selling crap, but they take no responsibility.

They (Whirlpool, Maytag, and their other brands) will never get a dollar of my money ever again.

It went to Dubai. There is no language barrier at all and the service is very helpful.

Well, it happened again..... This time it took a few years before it reared its head. Had a head gasket repaired about 4 years ago. Shop quoted one price, paid that, then was given a total that had 400 hundred dollars added to it. The vehicle has low miles and was paid off, so to save grief, I paid it and moved on. A little over a year later, I had a spark plug short out. So I figured it was time for plugs and wires. A few thousand miles afterwards, the same cylinder failed another spark plug. Started looking for reasons why, but no shop could find one, obviously well over any warranty from the repair. Tried band-aid fixes, but eventually it came to a head yesterday. Took it back to a different shop and they got right on it checking compression. Soon after a compression test, they took the gauge off to find out that the hose was spitting out coolant while turning over. Cylinder head removed to find a cracked head. Further investigation shows that whoever the mechanic was that put the new head gasket on, put it on upside down. Coolant not moving right, oil getting into water, and now this. I want to strangle a certain mechanic, but I'm sure its been too long to do any good. Just goes to show that customer service is still lost. I guess work ethic is heading out too.

actually i have pinpointed the day coustomer service left... it is when sams club started treating all their costomers like theives...about 12 or so years ago... when they started to get people to stand in line for ten minutes to give them their money and then standing in line again to get out the door, to get permission to leave, they found that they can treat people like scum and the people keep coming back for more....or most of them anyway
