Is concrete remesh as strong as hog panels?

I have been thinking of making feeder pens at our lease. With hogs everywhere I'm wondering if this remesh will hold hogs out. There are cows on our lease and they always seem to ruin a hunt due to one of my feeders being short. (got it from Academy) Any thoughts would be appreciated.

It's a lot cheaper but the stuff rusts out.

I have hog panels and cattle panels that I have used for 10-15 years still out and working today.

Hog panels are short and need a string of barbed wire 10-12 inches from the top to keep cows from jumping in (they will We've all seen it).

Its a one time expense for panels... then later if you decide you dont need a fence they make great blinds with tarps, dog runs and all sorts of stuff.

Not sure of the price. But they are good for a LONG time.

Not even. New hog panels are about $25 each, depending on where you shop. Check ads in papers, Craigslist, etc. Run yourself a WTB classified here. You can usually find decent used ones if you look a little. Good luck.

Thanks for the tips. I got a little excited cuz I saw an add for this guy selling concrete remesh and I thought maybe I could use that instead of hog panels. Still might pick some up to make a blind. I would rather be safe than sorry. Thanks again!

I paid $23 per 16 foot hog panel at Laredo Country Store last weekend.

The remesh works great for building ground blinds, but is worthless to keep hogs out or in..........
