Surf Rig

Just curious if you could help me. How do u guys rig a surf line with live bait. Mainly looking to catch reds and trout.

I dont use bait in the surf unless I'm fishing for Bull Reds , Sharks or Whiting "very tasty treat on light tackle" .. Trout and slot reds come from Spoons, Mirror lures or top waters if the surf is flat.

Freelined mullet, shrimp or pogies. If im not freelining them I put a 1/4 oz egg sinker above a swivel around 2' above my hook.
