Seriously though, most shops I've ever been in had some type of locking device on the bows on display.

They should be able to read the signs ....

Seems like a legal limbo.. I'M all for break it buy it policies BTW..just wondering how you enforce it legally.. shops/stores have insurance policies that cover these types of losses..

If he was still inside the store. You bet. What you do on your own time is your problem.

And i don't think he was making an argument for himself. Just saying what could happen. And sadly I think he's right.

I'm just yanking Frank's chain but he did use the words "me and my lawyer"..

If anyone wants to push the issue, my lawyer will prove negligence way before the store can collect damaged bow money from me.

Anyone who knows me knows I would take the hit for my stupidity. I'd pony up the cash for new strings, limbs, whatever, and take it home with me.

My point is they cant MAKE you buy it.
Now I'm off to McDonalds to get rich...

Dont know if you meant me, or me and others, or just others. My responses were stated as an answer to the question in the first post of the thread.
NO they can not enforce a "you break it, you buy it" policy.

They were not meant as my personal answer on what "I" would do.

Not semantics at all... open a business, have someone refuse to pay and then try and make them... i wish you or anyone else that doesn't own a business try it and good luck to you

I don't care what anyone says, if someone won't pay there is nothing you or a court can do to make them... the only REAL recourse a business has is credit reporting and that doesn't get you your money back

Been there, done that and will never get my 10,000 back
