I don't know about the Igloo MaxCold ice chests, but we use the maxcold drinking water coolers on our jobsites. This week we put 2 bags of ice in each one, and today all of them are still rattling ice around. They have only been refilled with water. I would assume the ice chest is just as good.
On the other hand, if I had a good enough excuse to give my wife for buying a Yeti you can bet that's what I'm going to do.

Chest freezers are usually good for 4-5 days without power such as after a hurricane.
I think for a one time event buying a yeti is overkill. candidly I think the dryice is a bit overkill as well. plain ice in one of those big white coolers will work great.

I work offshore and sometimes, due to weather or other factors, our groceries sit at the dock for 2 or 3 days before they are brought out to us.
They pack most of the frozen stuff in cheap Styrofoam coolers (Like the ones you buy at gas stations, but bigger) and use dry ice. Sometimes its just a cardboard box with dry ice on the food.
Even after 2 or 3 days sitting in the sun the ice cream is still frozen when it gets here.

OK, I'm going to use this as an excuse to my wife to get a $370 Yeti and I will have it side by side with a Colman Extreme. They will be tested with 100+ degree heat and 70-90 mph windw/full sun exposure.
I will report back to yall and let you know how they both did.
I checked Yeti's web sight and their coolers are compatible with Dry Ice

If you need help with an older ice chest check out popupgizmos.com. They make covers for popup campers out of radiant barrier. They also make cooler covers that slip over your cooler like a big shower cap. Works purty good! $22.00 for one that covers a 120 qt. Not sure if they make bigger ones or not...maybe could call em and order one. They're in Richardson...cool folks.

The yeti is just indestructible and will last longer.
IMO, Not long enough to justify $550 for a 155 quart Yeti when you can get a 155 qt 7-day igloo for $79.99.
