Rudys BBQ turkey ???

First off....I know I know I know. I should just text BBQ bob and ask the king.

I have eaten at several rudys throughout the state. I would say some 30 plus times and every time I get the turkey and every time it's moist as all get out. How do they do it? 50% of the time the brisket is too dry for me.

Now hang on BBQ bob I only give Rudys a 7 at best for BBQ. Most of the time it's a 4-5. . I know good BBQ don't worry. . It's where ever you are at. .

I'm pretty sure Rudys buys the "turkey loafs" from Ben E. Keith....it's all breasts packed in a smoking bag...they are about7" in diameter and a foot long...you can just dry rub them and smoke them and the large size keeps them from drying out.

Probably a combination of brineing and cooking in an oven instead of your traditional BBQ smoker.

rudy's bbq isnt that good at all, at least the store in Spring isnt. I dont like their food.

I'm their plumber for the Denton and Frisco locations and I've seen them pull that awesome turkey outta their GIANT smokers. Now whether that's just where they warm it up or actually smoke it, I don't know but I DO know that they have some good BBQ. I prefer a mix of their regular sauce and sissy sauce. Better than Cooper's in my opinion.
