I still have unlimited data with AT&T. Unless you cancel the service you keep the plan you have. They have asked me a couple of times to change, I tell them no thanks.
If I were a stockholder, I would say no. How much is enough in business?
I say make as much money as you can. If they make decisions their customers can't stand for then they will go somewhere else. Then they will make less money.
I hate how profit has turned into a dirty word in this country
Correct and is why I left Verizon and went to ATT a couple of years ago. My work required that I move to a smart phone and the only offerings from Verizon at the time were more expensive than the iPhone. Add to that their network design that does not support simultaneous voice and data usage and I couldn't justify staying with Verizon. My brother in law worked for Verizon at the time and he agreed, for what I needed ATT was a better choice.
I don't think profit is a dirty word but I do think that when the profit comes from what appears to be "bait and switch" or from perceived price gouging of the customer it does create resentment. As they say, perception is reality. If you feel like you're getting the short end of the deal then you are bound to be an unhappy customer. ATT did the same thing a year or more ago when they stopped offering their unlimited data plan for the iPhone. I've intentionally not modified my contract so that I can keep my unlimited data plan.
Verizon is the worst phone company/customer service I have ever had and would rather go without a cell phone than ever do business with them again. I'll keep my current ATT service. I get unlimited everything for 60 a month no contract.
Where are all the Verizon groupies that were laughing at the ATT users and saying thats why I am glad I am with Verizon when ATT made this decision a few months ago??
I upgraded my wifes phone and added a data package for it on my account which already had the unlimited plan. They said anyone already on that plan by that date is grandfathered in at the old rate.

Sitting at a keyboard typing a response..then deleting the response...then re-typing another more better response...then deleting the more better response...then clicking off this thread without commenting at all...
I just remembered seeing a tmobile commercial where I think they said add a line with unlimited data for $20 a month....that might be worn looking in to since that is essentially Att now
