How to hook-up a toggle switch to a car stereo

I'm not electrical smart. The Samurai I bought has no power wires for a stereo, so I was thinking about using a toggle switch so it isn't drawing power from the battery all the time. What is the easiest way to hook one up?

run a new wire from the battery WITH an inline fuse.

If it's digital which most are nowadays, you will need one wire always hot to keep from having to always reset your stations and clock. This is usually a blue wire and with a fuse for surge protection would be best.

If everything is done right, it won't be any drain on your battery.

Your remote wire, which is red, should be tapped into a wire that is hot when the key is on and turns off with the key. The yellow wire is your constant power that should go to the battery and the black wire is ground. Get you a test light and start checking wires until you find one that works with the key and tap into it.
