I'm sorry he may seem a little out there but i could totally see me taking a cooler of cold ones and doing that to pass some time with the buds....minus the rattlsnake venom

Oh I definitely would try it too. Like you though, without the venom. That's what made it stupid in my opinion. I always made my blowguns out of EMT and used coat hanger wire. I would take masking tape and make a funnel out of it (with a long taper). I would spray clear coat on it to seal it and make it more durable. I would heat the tips and quench them to kinda harden them. Sharpen them on a bench grinder and they were pretty deadly on birds. Never shot a rabbit though. I know without a doubt they were much more powerful than the one's Cold steel sells. I could fill a folgers can full of water and put a hole through both sides of it. It would strip the tape funnel off when it went through.

I still like Buck. He's got a real love for hunting and how can anyone hate on that? And the respect he showed that non-venomous snake was very honorable. Passionate hunter (okay, with a penchant towards flamboyancy) who treats game animals with due respect. What's not to like?

Oh, and I wonder why he didn't just rub the dart tips in his own sweat...everyone knows Buck Medley sweat is more toxic than the venom of the Black Mamba. Guess he didn't want to show off. And besides, he was teaching us mortals how to make our own poisonous darts.
