Ditto....... I think the rage is going to help those marginal shots tremendously. Man what hole

I have seen some massive holes due to Rage broadheads the last two weeks.

Seems the Rage 2 blade is preferred over the Rage 3 bade? Is it the larger cutting diameter?

The 2 blade is 2" and the three blade is 1.5".

...and the 2 blade has less moving parts, and never had a recall.

I have shot Slick Tricks exclusively for the last two years. I am 13 of 13 with them on deer. One for one on a nice boar. My current confidense with my equipment precludes changing anything at all. However, it is really hard to argue with the carnage we have witnessed here recently with the Rage heads.

I have only shot one deer with my slicks, but he only went 10 yrds.

I still might have to give the rage 2 blades a try after what I have seen on here

BHH.....I was asking if the larging cutting diameter was the reason for the popularity of the 2 over the 3....seems an extra blade would create another channel....

Mudshack please tell me more about this recall.

The recall was for 3 blades that were manufactured wrong. The way they are closed the tips of the blades that first make contact are supposed to be kind of pointed. The faulty heads were manufactured more rounded off.

Bweger hit it. There was a bad batch of Rage 3-blades last spring. They were all recalled.

I for one have not shot anything but a coon yet, and the coyotes got to him before I could check the damage.

The 2" cutting surface combined with the stretching of the skin on contact causes about a 3-4" gash, based on my research. This allows for a good blood trail. Also, if it is not a fatal shot, there is a better chance for it to heal than a 3 blade cut.

That combined with one less moving part, I choose to put 2-blades in my quiver.

I forgot to add I shoot the 3 blade and I have not had any problems. I have stuck a bunch of hogs and the entry and exit wounds look like you shot them with a high powered rifle. The only hog I didn't recover was one I made a bad shot on. I shot him to low on the leg and hit the big bone and didn't get good penetration. I am going to Colorado next September Elk and Bear hunting and I will be shooting the 2 blade Rage.
