I've been posting since 2000 or early '01, changed my username from Fowler to Duane after the Big Crash. And Heath runs a good bar, but I make the best Bloody Marys!
I remember the Granger get together although I didn't attend. Met Michael when I got some TBH caps from him to get signed by Uncle Ted, to give away at Bownanza (video challenge prizes maybe?).
Ed (Lip), I remember meeting you and some others (Michael, Shawn, maybe Casey?) at one of the hunting shows, and you had a video camera that you had rigged up in a pelican box as a trail camera. Not sure what year that was, but it was around the time we started making the D380 homebrews.
This is the only image I have from the TBH "Granger Family Picnic".
August of 2001.
Although hot, it turned out to be a fun event. Middleton's kids beat up on Blaine and my parents actually drove up from the Valley. We skipped a year and then started doing Bownanza in B/CS.
Wow, this is an awesome thread. Brings back a nostalgic feel to see BayouBoy, Flinger, Oleman, and Steve Shedd posting around here again.
Glad we've got our TBH Historian, Legdog, around to keep everything on track. I couldn't have been but 12 or 13 at the TBH Granger Family Picnic...those were molding days.
Well look what I stumbled into a bunch of old goats. B-B welcome back. I remember the bownanza you showed up with the first diamond bows That short stinger bow was cool. So Cool that its my back up bow now.
I remember hearing a loud AAAAAIIIIIIEEEEEEEE off in the distance as I sat here taking in this scene. Deep within the Big Thicket region of East Texas.......a man in a blue jump suit.....machete in hand......let those within earshot know......it was time to kill!

Shoot, does 2004 count these days? I found the site way before that. I didn't know much about forums or message boards and didn't think this site had much to offer. Boy was I wrong. Then Rob told us about it and the rest is history.
I'm still around but mostly lurk now...
I know we joined in the beginning of 2001 right after we moved to Singapore and kept in touch with the Tx hunting scene over the internet...Lots of good people on here back then.
