pickled okra, check! quail eggs, check!!

Cold beer, cigars, stuffed tenderloin, and syracuse bacon wrapped backstraps are all loaded in the cooler! Bows and camo loaded! Hit the bank and ready to roll out!!

Momma didn't do any shopping for Christmas so I told her an exotic bowhunt would be cool! Headed to Ft Worth to meet my runnin buddy and head to see Chris at Rocky Ridge and see how much we can sweat the next two days!

Horned 4 legged critters are on the menu! Looking forward to seeing some more strange animals and hopefully getting to fling an arrow at one!!!

My work schedule sucks for trying to plan anything so glad we're going regardless of the heat!!

Well, we had a great time! Good lodging, great folks, and plenty of animals running around. I don;t think I coulda found an exotic buck in a sale barn and my buddy had em trying to climb in the stand literally!

He killed something every sit and I scratched out a gutpile goat on the way back to camp. I saw a couple fallow does and did have a nice blackbuck run by chasing a doe for a few seconds. My buddy Pat shot a nice hog the first evening, an oryx the first morning, a ram the second evening, and a crazy axis that attacked his stand the last morning! We didn't get pics of the pig, my goat, or the axis. But it made for a heck of a story. He heard something come up behind him and he said it sounded like it was gonna walk under the stand and next thing he knew the stand was shaking and there was the sound of antlers banging on the metal stand legs! Anyhow, the folks at Rocky Ridge can rest easy now cause the crazy axis deer is dead. I think he should get him mounted with his crazy crooked nose that he got everytime he saw folks and come after em...

Got called to go to Chicago 5 minutes after I walked in the door so I'm just now getting around to posting pics and a recap. Look forward to going again. Maybe when it cools off!

Figured there would be some upset people reguardless of what amount was on the check

Pat is gonna have a heck of a taxi bill
