Sighting in... Again and Again and...

Why is it, I get my bow sighted in perfectly up to 60 yards, then let it set a day or two, go out to shoot, and sometimes it still good, sometimes it totally off. Same distances, same targets, same place.

I keep it stored in a case when I'm not using it. I have to carry the alan wrench set with me every time.

If this is normal, I'll get used to it, but I would like to think that once its sighted in, barring any physical jolts or drops, it would stay sighted in.

My son's bow does this too. He has a Mathews LX and I have the Mathews Z7 Mag.

    Any thoughts?

My guess it isn't the bow. I am guessing you are using a different anchor point or something of that nature......

Anchor point, anchor point, anchor point

Any other type of improper shooting form could cause this as well.

I was having the same problem for a while and had a kisser button put on my string and it has made a world of difference. Go up to Barkleys and shoot and have one of the techs watch you to see what you are doing wrong.

Yup, consistency on your part is key.
But, go over everything with your allens and make sure its tight, maybe some loctite if you find something lose.

Anchor point and/or placement of your hand on the bow. Consistency is the key.

Just as others have said, you may be adjusting your shooting mistakes each time. I have chased this ghost myself. Everything the same every time. Anchor point, don't torque your wrist that holds the bow and watch your arrow flight through your sight as this will keep you from dropping to watch your arrow.

what they said if you are on one day and off the next look at your anchor. put the bow up and shoot it the next day and can be spot on again. it can be frustrating but its all about hitting the same anchor day in and day out. it doesnt take just a fraction of a inch left or right and you are way off at 60.

                      also watch your grip.

have you just installed a new string? If it made at the shop it will strech for about 100 shots. If not, anchor point

If I may add another thing.

Go to the range, get about ten yards away from target, close your eyes, draw and shoot. Repeat. Focus only on your draw cycle, anchor, form. Adjust your sight to match. Don't compensate your form to adjust form poi.

My guess is string stretch, being stored in a case if its in the heat at all it stretch the cables even if they aren't new. When this happens you will get high and low shots (usually not to much left and right though). What happens is as your timing goes out then the wall becomes soft, when this happens its hard to tell if you are just hitting the wall or pulling into it a bit deeper. This causes unpredictiable shots. If you put it back in time this should go away, and if it doesn't or your bow is not out of time then work on your anchor.
