What is this about?

Went to meet my wife for lunch at olive garden and on the side of the building they have 3 parking spaces reserved for " energy efficient vehicles" why would they have this marked with signs and reserved?
Just curious never seen this before!

I would rather see a spot reserved for expectant mothers, 65+, military, or police/fire personnel.

i drive a lifted truck and i park in them all the time . just tell them your bein efficient by parking in the first spot you saw rather than driving around lol
