Best Places to find a new truck

I am getting to the point now where I have to buy my first truck. Excited. I have not much money to spend. Maybe 4000, 5000 if I use 1000 of my money in the bank. Where is the best places to find a used truck. I have looked a lot of places, magazines, craigslist, ebay, any good/bad reviews on the places, or any better places. Thanks in advance.

Buying vehicles on craigslist or ebay can be risky, but as long as you check out the truck before you buy you can find some great deals. Dad and I both bought our trucks on craigslist, and Mom's on ebay. You can also ask friends/family, look in the paper classifieds, check out a dealer's certified used inventory, etc.

What kind of truck are you looking at?

A friend of mine got a good used truck from craigslist, so it possible to find a great deal on there or ebay but you have to be very careful and make sure you check out the truck first and run it by a mechanic and maybe get a carfax.

Check with friends and people you know. Maybe someone is getting a new truck and will sell it to you instead of giving it to the dealer as a trade in.

look at autotrader.com. I've had good luck there. You can look for exactly what you want based on price, make, year, features, location, whatever. Good luck.
