I like everyone else is wondering why he refuses to throw that knee buckling curve that he kept people off guard with last year. Now it is all fastballs, and maybe he tries a change up, which usually gets hammered.
Ya'll want to complain be an Astro's fan. Talk about blown saves. The Astros would have been 2 and out in the CWS this year even if they would have played Texas or A & M. Don't even get me started! Again thanks for lettings us have one!
I don't think Nefi throws the HR pitch he threw if Torrealaba makes a routine catch behind the plate. He gives up the tying run on a passed ball and Nefi throws a pitch that he wouldn't throw in that situation.

It was the pitches that led to two doubles and a single that concerned me before the HR.....
The Rangers were in the World Series last year and in my opinion made moves in the Winter that improved the team. It's disappointing to see this kind if melt down from any team but especially a contender with high hopes of repeating at least a trip to the playoffs. The Astros should be a team they sweep easily but I'll take 2 out of three every time if I have to!
I completely agree with that. He's been spotty all season. I just don't put this loss all on Nefi
Who else do you put it on? He threw batting practice for the Astros in the 9th inning last night, and they hammered hits that were uncatchable by the defense. Other than the passed ball that scored one of the 4 runs, that was all on Feliz. On the passed ball, the catcher was set up for an inside pitch, and it went outside. Still VERY catchable, so no excuse. But the pitch didn't go where it was supposed to.

^ This. It's been an all around frustrating season. We lead the AL in errors!? That's not going to get us into the postseason. Tough loss, maybe we'll straighten out and go for a sweep in Houston. I'll be at the Thursday nights game all decked out in my Rangers gear!

Yeah, the errors are maddening.
Aren't they off tonight? We'll be in a box tomorrow night, and then on the Home Run Porch Sunday. Hope they stomp the Mets.

The Rangers should be looking to make a trade for a decent relief pitcher before this thing spins out of control. They have a surplus of offense, they could afford to part with some of it.
Nefty through 35 pitches on Tues, and didn't play on Mon.
I was far more irritated with Torrealba whiffing on a fastball, and INFURIATED that Mike Young is not guarding the line TWICE in the 9th, with a 2 run lead......
