    Hog questions

I bowhunt in sweethome, and I see tons of hog sign but never can catch em during the day. Is there any way to get em to come out during daylight? Any secret bait anyone uses or what's yalls advise?

in this heat.. unless you got a water source/wallow... or the hogs are starving.. I would be inclined to say daytime travel is going to be severely affected..
Corn is the only 'magical' bait... but try digging two foot deep by 6" diameter holes... fill with corn and half a cup of diesol fuel.
You could also staple some old carpet to the base of a 8" or larger diameter tree, and then soak with diesol.
    Good luck.

Your just not going to see them much during the day on certain places. Just hunt them at night and start sticking pigs.

Set your feeder to go off at about 8 in the morning and again at noon. If you have it set for 5 or 6 in the evening they will just wait until dark to come out and eat.

they love the smell of it.
on the carpet on the tree.. compare it to a telephone pole you see on the side of the road..if you see them and it looks like the bottom of them are covered in dirt/mud.. those are hogs..rubbing against them to get the oils on them..

It mainly keeps other animals from eating it, but hogs also like to rub in diesel, oil, etc. to keep the bugs off.

Get yourself a Mini Sniper hog light (red) and hunt em at night when it's cooler. It's almost not fair!!!

feeder, red hog light, camera them to see when coming and hunt them at night. In areas of high pressure and not much water they wont move during day much

                          This^^^^

It's too hot for a person to be out there hunting during daylight hours anyway.

Get the light, set your feeders to go off about an hour before dark, and sit in the cooler temps and stick 'em!!!!

The use of trail cameras to know about what time they are showing up is key too. If they are showing up at 10 pm for a few nights in a row, get on 'em!!!!

                          Good luck!!!

Get yourself a Marauder hawglite for hunting at night. You also may want to think of getting a solar powered feeder liight....they get use to it fairly quick.
