going hunting tomorrow . have been shooting the bow this whole week and got a nice tan with it. well have ice chest in truck bow .... and rifle ready(hoping wont need) and some meat from deer season. hoping i can load pictures while i am there. well just really excited.

i booked a hunt with a guy i found off texas hunting forum. his ranch is in stockdale. plan on going after a corsican and a catalina. my friend wants an axis or a blackbuck.

Well got to th ranch around 2ish. Was still hot so we just talked and enjoyed the ac. I shot a few arrows and shot my rifle just in case I needed it. So around 5 we went riding around and we drove up on the ram herd. I saw the one I was going in the back in the trees ,the second I got out of the mule with jared they took off and the hunt was on. I had one shot in the beginning but once I had him lined up a paint walked in front. We stalked him for about an hour on foot until they went back to where I first saw him at. Not going to say it was luck but dam he paused and it was over. So after these guys cleaned everything up, they brought up the idea of an aoudad . Well we headed to the fields and sat there . We had 30 minutes before the sun went down. The aoudad came in from 200+ yards to about 50 yards,but they were all rams. Well time to barbq and drink a little .

Were you on the place right there off Hwy 87 just past cibolo creek before you get to stockdale ?????....I used to work on a place 4 mi east of stockdale and drove past the one there by the creek.......Andy
