I bought a Swisher/Shindaiwa (sp?) edger at Costco last year and it worked really well. However, I need a new edger blade and unfortunately, there are very few authorized Swisher/S... dealers near me. Can I use just any replacement blade that fits?

as long as the hole fits the arbor, and the blade spins within the guard with a minimum of 1/4" between it and the guard. The blade can't be loose on the arbor screw, if anything you should have to put a little umph into getting it on. -
Take the old blade off and take it into any local lawnmower repair shop; not Home Depot or Lowes. It should cost about 4 or 5 bucks for a new blade. Most blades are interchangeable and we use the same blades on our Shindaiwa, Stihl and Echo.Comment
