    Made modern hunting kind of a yawner lol... yea modern stuff has made it a little easier but the animals have gotten smart also.

      no doubt...

      I will stick to my compound. still tough compared to some of the rifle hunting I see guys doing.

        I must be a terrible hunter because I need every advantage I can get and still get busted.

        I would like to see one of these "carbon fiber bows with metal strings that fling an arrow almost as fast as a rifle". I bet the draw cycle is a bit rough.

        My 60 lb. Z7 is clipping FMJ's out at 270 fps while my .280 rem is lobbing a 140 grain bullet at 2900 fps. We're gaining on the rifle crowd.

          It is not the type bow, but getting a big buck within bow range that is my biggest challenge. For several years I could say I was hunting with a pocket knife and had the same results.
