    Folding Knives...which one?

Just wondering which folding knife everyone carries or uses out in the field. I personally have been using a Buck 110 for a heck of a long time....hard to beat.

I own all kinds of brands and like on 110 buck as well, but anything I use hunting, skinning will say Gerber. I think they are the best out there that I have owned any way. I like them better than the knives of Alaska set I have used as well. Gerber knives and saws, axe, etc are number one in my book. Sharpest out of the box and easy to keep scary sharp.

stainless spyderco with a 3" conventional blade. I carry it clipped inside my front pocket all the time.

Like most of you, I have a bagful of hunting knives - you can never have too many! My current favorite folder for field dressing duties is the Kershaw Folding Hunter

I use three knives, in this order. Kershaw for light work, Gurber for medium work and a Rigid for heavy work such as cutting through the pelvic girdle.

Buck 110. Takes a good edge and keeps it more than long enough to dress, skin and quarter a deer. Anything with that serrated half blade makes me nuts. Get a decent knife and keep it sharp and there's no need for stinkin' serrations.

I use a Moore Maker. My opinion....the best knife around. Made in the great state of Texas.

My favorite knife that will always be on my waist is my Leatherman.

Now, for feild dressing/skinning chores back at camp, I love my Boker two-blade folder (has the same longer blade designs that the Case Trapper has). I also like to use my Case Trapper too. I beleive you never need more than a 3" blade when field dressing deer, unless you're one of those that likes to cut the pelvis. Both of these folders hold an edge and are very easy to put one back on when you need to. Their not stainless, but they'll retain an edge longer and get one easier than stainless too. I just make sure I wipe 'em down with oil after cleaning them.

Benchmade. Best I've ever carried hands down. Made in the USA and fantastic customer service. Lifetime free sharpening/blade re-shaping called LifeSharp I believe. I take mine offshore, to the beach, to the ranch, and everywhere in between. Light and built to last, my latest knife is the Benchmade Dejavoo.
