I took some advice called my sister and she is going to let me take my 7 year old nephew to the lease next weekend. He is pumped. Her husband does not hunt and therefore did not want his son to be involved with hunting or shooting sports. After lots of discussion about safty she is comfortable with me taking him. I am going to take him this weekend to an archery shop and get him set up with a Genesis bow. Thanks for the good ideas.

Do not get me wrong on the blues thing hunting always make me feel better I just love the hunt for the big buck the most. I will definantly get my 2 does this year. I am hoping to take one next weekend with my nephew.

I'd be very happy with the one I had taking a dirt nap. That means all the hard work paid off. "A bird in the hand" and all that.

Next up on the agenda for me would be stacking up does and culls. It would sound like armageddon around my stand everytime I was there. I'd bring lots of guests too, so they could shoot does.

Good on you for taking your nephew. He'll love it.

Im on a lease that only allows one mature buck...no does, or spikes extra. Kinda sucks I know, but just having a place to go let the kids run around, and being outdoors is enought for me << at least thats what I tell myself Plus its a 10,000 acre ranch with coastal waterfront, so the fishing makes up for it. Not to forget the hogs, turkey, quail and other game that I never get around to harvesting either, loll
