I was on a forty creek kick for awhile then went back to crown. Now I like Texas Crown. Very similar to crown but a little smoother IMO and a little cheaper. I used to only find it at Spec's but now I am seeing it at various liquor stores.
I like to try different things and in my experience all these are good.
Burbon: WL Weller, Jim Beam, Forty Creek, Jack Daniels, Crown Royal,
Makers Mark, Wild Turkey, Knob Creek, Woodford,
Scotch: Johnnie walker, Jamesons, Glenlivet, Dewars, Chivas Regal.
On another note try a good BRANDY somtime.
I believe Crown Royal is a canadian blended whiskey. Not a bourbon. Bourbon has to be over 51% from corn, while canadian does not comply with this standard. I believe it's often a heavy percentage of rye.

Yep Yep...Forty Creek is also Canadian whisky....and Jack Daniels is a Tennessee whiskey not a bourbon whisky
