I prefer Russell's Reserve. It's aged at 10 years, which is long enough to mute out the peppery notes, but not long enough to make it astringently oaky.
Jefferson's is one of the best out there IMO...I try to stay away from the blended stuff...straight bourbon is the way to go!!! Give it a shot...if you like Crown/JD/Maker's/etc. you will LOVE this!!! If you really want to step it up, get the Jefferson's Reserve...not much can beat this!!!
