    Explosion in New Iberia

    Explosion in New Iberia

Iberia Parish authorities tell TV10 that there has been a chemical explosion in the area of 3400 Adm. Doyle Road. They're asking residents to avoid the area. We have a crew on the way and will have more information when it becomes available. prayers going out for all

My snl works next door at Aggreko and was there when the explosion happened. Fnl lives in at martinsville and they were told to turn off ac until further notice. Pretty scary stuff, she was taking pics as they were running out the building.

My parents live 2 miles from the plant and I used to work right across the street at The Acadiana Crime Lab.

A 5 mile evacuation order initially went out immediately after the explosion. It was changed to a 1 mile radius shortly thereafter, and a shelter in place order was issued last night.

I talked w my dad this morning and he said that he can still see some smoke issuing from the plant.

I live 8 miles from the explosion as the crow flies , as I could see the black clouds from my house

I was in New Iberia yesterday around 1pm, as the explosion happened around 4pm

news reported last night the fire would likely have to burn itself out

all accounted for, and no casualties --- thank the Lord
