Good news! I just looked at a longer range forecast and it calls for much cooler weather and a great chance of rain!

I'm starting to have more confidence that we are in store for a tropical system or two this hurricane season. I was hoping for some early season development where we could get a slow moving weak system to creep up out of the caribbean but that doesn't look lke it will happen. This kind of goes with the saying, be careful what you wish for as we dig deeper into hurricane season when the storms could be stronger.
