I finally found out how much corn fits in 55 gallon drums......EXACTLY!!!!

How much corn will a 55 gallon drum hold with NO FUNNEL??? Take your guesses


Take your guesses, I filled up 3 drums all the way to the top with bulk corn. This should be helpful to some of yall, as I never knew exactly.

The guesses are wide in range.....Based on the guesses, gosh the barrels must not be exactly the same

My 3 barrels were weighed on a scale and this was bulk corn I bought that was super clean....cleaner then bagged corn in stores

FYI: Reason i dont have funnel is because I just use this corn for hog traps/to throw out pre-hunt. Just using it to store and hold my corn under the shed

That's what mine holds. 350#. I bought a funnel for it though, because the corn that sits in the bottom gets old. I just haven't put it in yet.

My 40 gallon holds exactly 300 lbs so a 55 gallon should hold exactly 412.5 lbs to be precise!

I want to say 600 lbs. We bought bulk corn a couple of times from a cousin of mine that worked at a feed mill/store. This was a few yrs ago and I thought my dad said he got 600 lbs in a 55 gal barrel for $20 bucks!!!
