I like Hoppes Elite.Use foaming bore and barrel and bore gel. They clean powder brass and copper deposits.plus the bore gel will condition the barrel and reduce fouling when shooting cheap ammo.Follow the instructions. If it says wait 5 min then wait the five minutes while it dissolves any carbon build up.Just shoot 50 rds threw my TC and barrel was clean in 5 patches.I start away from mixing different companies products because of the potential for a chemical reaction. Not really a big bang more of a chance in corrosion.Never saw it happen but A fellow from AMU told me that so I stick with it.Oh and stick with one piece cleaning rods like the Tipton....stay away from metal.

When your cleaning the barrel, please invest in a good bore guide. I don't like the universal ones you find everywhere. I get mine custom made from Mike Lucas. You can google him and get his info being I don't have it on me right now. He makes the best bore guides money can buy in my opinion. They normally run just shy of $40 each.
