    Parker Bows

all i ever see on here is BOWTECH, MATHEWS, BOWTECH, MATTHEWS. and i've never seen anybody with a parker. I got mine for my birthday about 2 years ago, and its a great bow (i think)

so i was wondering if they are bad bows? or why other people don't use them?

A great Bow is the one that feels and shoots good for you. I dont care what kind it is, If you like it then you will shoot good with it. IMO...

Not saying anything about them but my buddy and his son have parkers and they eat up the strings.

how many years does a string usually go before it needs changing? I've been shootin it for 2, soon to be 3 seasons.

i replaced the inside strings this year, but the guys at triple edge archery said my outside one was still good for another year. idk how good or bad that is as far as "string life" though.

if they are eating strings/ cables call doug at parker and he will fix you right up at no cost. me,my wife and daughter allshoot 3-d with hoyts , but hunt with parkers. but im more than secure in the fact that i can still shoot 300 plus rounds of 3-d with my crackerized pheonix 34
their factory strings/cables suck worse than most. they can be tuned to shoot as good as any top end bow

I have the Parker Extreme Ultra Lite 31. I love it, small, & lots of power. Havent had any issues with the strings yet. I am looking at getting a new bow its between the Mathews SB XT & the Parker Hornet +2. Have yet to shot the Mathews though.

Although i now shoot a Recurve, my backup bow is my 8 year old Parker feathergrade. This bow has been through he!! and back, and has killed numerous animals. I ran over it once with my truck, and shot a nice fallow buck with it the next day Although I have never had to use it i have heard that their customer service is second to none. they build a great bow.

I've owned most every brand of bow out there. The last Parker was a Phoenix 34. Bow shot ok, but not near as Fast/Smooth/Quiet as either the Mathews OR Bowtech. Hoyt's are ok, but heavy and a bit slower than the Mathews and Bowtech.

I'm not saying that the Parker isn't as good as the "main two", and I don't know if you've shot either of them, but..... Shoot an XT, Drenalin, Tribute, or Guardian at some shops and see if you can't tell the difference. I know I can. In my opinion, these two "Main" brands, are designing some awesome stuff. Short, smooth, quiet, fast.....

If the Parker shoots good for you, and you like it, then you can't go wrong.

                    Good luck w/it.............

It's a Furd vs. Cheby vs. Dudge thing in my opinion. All 3 will get your stuff from point A to B. Some guys have Dodge horror stories (mine has 120k miles of trouble-free driving so far), I have some Ford horror stories from 2 I owned.

I'm in sales and marketing, and it's all about marketing. The most effective marketing program you can create is when your customers continue selling your product to others after they've bought it.

With practice and in the hands of a skilled archery, and with the same, good arrows, all bows are capable of killing the same animal or hitting the bullseye in practice.

And dont' forget about PSE, the largest archery equipment manufacturer!

I shoot a Parker Hunter mag and I've out-shoot all my buddies with 800 dollar bows. I guess it's all on whats behind the bow that counts.

Parker is a middle grade bow that is moving up Placed 2 or 3 in Bowsite annual blind bow test Parkers have the lowest failure rate inthe industry

Mathews copied the Challenger when the made the Ignition bow'

I used to shoot the great Bows Tink

I had a Pheonix 32 for a couple years and I thought it was a great bow. I went all traditional a few years back and that is the only reason I got rid of it. I have to call BS on not being the fastest bow out there because it would shoot a St. Axis 340 like a dart. When I did get rid of it I couldn't give it away, I did end up trading for a Sarrels Longbow and I was HAPPY. I think alot of people buy The name and not what really fits them best. I never had a string problem with mine. I did find that my limbs were split 4 days before I was to go on a hunt and the Customer Service dep. over nighted them to the Bow Zone the next day so I could go hunting.
