    New hunting place: Lavaca/Fayette line

My grandma owns 40-60 acres S of Schulenburg and I am going to stick a feeder in the back wooded area with a camera over it to see whats coming.

The guy who leases it for cows told me there is a little sign of hogs and there used to be a big arse boar back there

Its worth a shot. She has had this land for years and finally want to make it a bow hog spot. I kept putting it off and now am doing it

My buddy lost his hunting place down the road so I told him he can setup a feeder/stand for bowhunting if he wants. He liked the idea of it and said he will probably pay my grandma $100-$200 to hunt there this year

Plan is: Stick 1 feeder up there now in coming weeks with a camera and see what we got, then go from there. Probably will have 2 feeders/2 stands for upcoming bowseason.

I don't think we will be overloaded. Guy who leases it told me he thinks they moved out because creeks are empty and no water.

If its good and got some piggies Ill hit you up

Just kind of worried, with those huge calves you might make too much noise walking up to stand haha

I bought 3 new feeders from Browning10 and me and my buddy are headed down next weekend to setup stands/feeders.

Me and the gf are going down this weekend and I think I am going to go scope it out and walk the land and look for potential stand/feeder locations before we set them up next weekend. I will take some pics to get some TBHers advice on stand locations

I'm jealous of how much land you have available to hunt around that area! Good luck with the new place! Some places in Fayette can be hidden gold mines if you find a place with no pressure around it (which for a long time was the case but now more people are starting to hunt)
