i am searching for a good, somewhat economical designed, window to put in or build for my deer stand. can you help me out.

Check out my thread on the blind I bought from Krivoman. The windows on my octagon are similar and worked out great.

I bought cheapie single hung/horizontal aluminum frame windows from Lowe's... used some 12 X 12 and some 24 X 24. They work great and they are pretty quiet... would be no problem for a gun stand. I have them in my bow stand though, and I have been able to open them with deer 20 yards away, but you have to be careful doing that. I usually try to keep my shooting window open unless it is raining or cold... or both...Comment

We got some plexi glass and slide rails and built our own. Just screw the rails on the top and sides, and put a string on the middle bottom of the glass and a screw below to stop it and it will pull up and down and seal off pretty well. Cheap and easy, and you can make them any size you want.Comment
