Possible computer virus?

Here is the deal. I think something is up with my computer. While on the internet, some of the words in the text will be underlined and a different color. It operates like a link but a stupid ad box pops up when you put the arrow over it. I am sure it is a simple fix but it is above my pay grade Any help here?

download malwarebytes, and update it and run a full scan.

it will find stuff. when you remove selected it will more than likely ask if it can restart your computer. Let it restart. and you will be good to go.

Thanks. Will it protect it from future stuff or is this just a cleaner?

Scroll over any Vibrant ad to when the pop up shows up on the screen. At the top right of the screen, a “?” mark character will be visible to the left of the “X”.

If you click on the Disable Tab (4th from the left), there will be a hypertext link to “Click here to disable.”

Once they are disable the page will be reloaded with no vibrant links and you can browse ad free.

In short as systemnt explained above its not a virus.... its actually the way the web page is written. Annoying but not harmful most of the time.

I had that exact same thing and it was annoying as hell. I forget how I got rid of it though, Im pretty sure I saw a TBH thread about it and followed some given instructions

It's a feature of your web browser.. turn it off and all will be normal again.
