I'm South of you so can't help much with a place in that area, but I would suggest looking into doing your book work in Texas before your trip and your certifications in Florida. Depending on where you are going, the place where you dive can help you with this.

I believe that Tuckers Dive Shop has closed down in Grand Prairie. That was where I always got my gear from. Now I go to Tigershark off of Little Road and I-20. They are very nice and resonably priced for evrything from gear to classes. I would take a look at them.Comment

There's a scuba park in Able Springs, just outside of Terrell. I've heard it's a good one.Comment
