Ya'll are true bowhunters and sportsman in my opinion. It's great to see young men with such hunting ethics and respect who actually enjoy the things that are so important in the outdoors. Everyone wants to kill a big buck, but all had a successful hunt because all have a right attitude. The comeraderie was great. You make me proud to be a part of the bowhunting fraternity.
Special thanks to TexasTaxi for providing an awesome meal and to Sonny and Crash Co9 for making it so delicious. Ya'll sure know how to cook a meal. I emailed the pictures to TB so hopefully he'll post them on here soon. Thanks again ya'll for being such an inspiring group of bowhunters.

I was in Young Co too.....

Good to see ya'll had a great weekend anyways. Hunting ain't always about the kill.

I was hunting our lease in Southern Young Co last weekend. Bucks were definitly chasing. Smaller bucks, anyways. I rattled in one 8 pt and 1 spike. A buddy of mine seen a good 10 but couldn't get a shot.

I think this coming weekend will be more productive. Only problem is that I will be in Hagerman, instead of Young Co.

Here are a couple of pix I managed to get, from the stand.

Good luck at BAO. I'll bet somebody "whacks" a bruiser out there w/in a couple of weeks. (Probably TB, if he hasn't already!)

I'll chime in here a little late.First I'd like to say that John and Johnny are top notch hosts.Never once did I feel like a "customer".The rest of the weekends company was like a get together of friends, not just members of a message board. The hunting was tough I had a shooter buck come in Saturday morning, but was chased off by hogs before I could get a shot.So two of the hogs paid the price.Another 8 came in Sunday morning but was too close to call,so he walked. All in all a great weekend and I hope to return to BAO in the future.

All that talk and nothing about the beans, come on guys!
That was a good looking platter of meat laying there for sure.

There was plenty of talk from the beans later in the night!

                        Devin,
You win some ... you loose some!

I didn't get a cooler full of meat this weekend, but I did meet a bunch of people that I'd be proud to call my friends.

I'd say I came out on top, anyway!!!!

AND, I kept all the wheels on my truck this trip!!!!!!

I am glad that ya'll had a good time. When I told my wife about this she was very suprised that I did not jump on this. We had plans to meet my inlaws on Saturday afternoon which through a kink in it. Hopefully I will be able to make the next TBH get together at the BAO.
